A factual and conceptual exploration of the living world through presentation, student inquiry, and laboratory exercises. Topics include the bases of life; organization of living systems, from molecules to ecosystems, and their interactions; and genetics, evolution, and ecology. Satisfies GE, Area B2 and the GE laboratory science requirement. Not applicable to the Biology major.
