BIOL 340 - General Bacteriology

An introduction to prokaryotes covering their cell structure, metabolic diversity, interactions with other organisms, and pivotal roles in biogeochemical cycling. Laboratory projects develop skills essential for studies of bacteria. Laboratory in two 1.5 hour sessions per week.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 321, BIOL 325 and CHEM 335A.
