SOCI 201 - Introduction to Sociology Unit(s): 3 This course presents a general overview of the concepts, theories, research methods and findings of sociology. The purpose is to teach students to view the world through a sociological perspective. Examines the social paradox, identity and social status, stratification and networks, community and social change as well as the value of the sociological perspective for everyday life.
