Examination of the imposition of cultural and subcultural frameworks. Analysis of the social processes through which human beings are inducted into social groups in childhood and adulthood, including theoretical frameworks for investigation. Particular attention is given to the socializing effects of institutions, including families, friendship networks, schools, and work.
