SOCI 330 - Sociology of Media Unit(s): 4 This course examines the push-pull relationships between elements of the media system, from the industry to users to content and technology. Understanding the shift in focus from mass media to social media, the course topics include censorship, politics in media, the rise of the internet, and a focus on the most popular social media platforms today.
