SSCI 299 - Seminar: How to Think Like a Social Scientist Unit(s): 3 “How to Think like a Social Scientist” (SSCI 299) takes a meta-disciplinary approach to social science literacy and encourages students to develop knowledge of themselves and the social world. Students practice “focused exploration” to align their goals and plans for education, work, and life; to ask questions, consider evidence, analyze data, and recognize theories and methods used by social scientists; and to create and present a research proposal reflecting their own interests. Open to all majors and undeclared students.
