An identification and analysis of contemporary social problems using a cultural lens, including the role of power and ideology in defining social problems, their causes and consequences, evaluations of proposed solutions, and methods of intervention. Artistic products (examples may include film, literature, photographs, paintings, poetry, music, etc.) are used to centralize counter-narratives as well as promises of social change.
