SOCI 325 - Sociology of the Arts Unit(s): 3 The course examines how a work of art must have a subject and point of view. Works of art are representational and subject to interpretation by audiences who engage in making meaning of artworks. The course takes a socio-historical approach and explores modern and postmodern trends in the arts, such as in the fine arts, fashion, architecture, music, and performance.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of GE Golden Four (A1, A2, A3, B4) with a C- or better and completion of lower division C coursework and at least 45 units.
