EDSP 522A - Family Partnerships in Early Childhood Special Education Unit(s): 3 Build collaborative partnerships with the families of young children with disabilities. Develop the knowledge and skills to engage in culturally competent practices and be responsive to the needs, priorities and concerns of families. Collaborate with families to implement routines based interventions. Emphasis on family systems theory and family centered practice. Prerequisites: Admission to Early Childhood Special Education Added Authorization (ECSE-AA) program OR MA program; Concurrent enrollment in EDSP 522B for students in ECSE-AA. Taught in face-to-face or hybrid modes.
