Directed study, under the guidance of a Biology faculty member, to design and conduct a research project in biology, including readings in the primary literature and application of information from relevant upper-division course work. Results must be given in a written report or presented in a public forum. May be repeated for up to a total of 4 units.

Prerequisite(s): upper division standing in the major and approved petition to enroll.
