KIN 442 - Musculoskeletal Evaluation, Training, and Treatment


Unit(s): 4 Lecture: 3 hours Laboratory: 2 hours
Students learn the HIPS technique for evaluating musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. The prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and proper disposition of the patient will be stressed. The theoretical basis of rehabilitation and the physics/mechanics of therapeutic modalities, as well as common musculoskeletal injuries to the axial skeleton will be studied.

Prerequisite(s): Kinesiology majors and KIN 242 , BIOL 220 , and BIOL 224  required.
