PSY 495 - Special Studies Unit(s): 1-4 The psychology department encourages independent study as preparation and practice for life-long self-directed learning. Students should formulate plans for a project and present them to a faculty member for sponsorship. Special forms for this purpose are available in the department office. Strong preference is placed on projects with cross-cultural perspectives. These should be completed and filed during the add/drop period. A maximum of eight units of Special Study and Internship combined may be credited toward the psychology major. May be repeated for credit up to 8 units.
Grading: OPT Prerequisite(s): upper-division Psychology major or consent of instructor. Elective: Upper Division
