ANTH 592 - Practicum in National Register of Historic Places Unit(s): 2 This hands-on course will introduce students to the process by which historic buildings are recorded and evaluated for eligibility to the NRHP. Classes will cover basic wood-frame construction techniques, basic architectural description, and how to undertake focused historical research in official records. Students will learn to identify and describe a historic building, document it using photographs, plans, and detailed drawings, and reconstruct its history.
Prerequisite(s): Class open to Graduate Students only Typically Offered Fall Even Years Grading: GRD
