To register for ENGL 495, not only must the student have the consent of the instructor, but the material and course of study should satisfy student needs not covered by regularly offered courses. In addition, the amount and level of work proposed should be at the appropriate academic level.

Prerequisite(s): consent of instructor and department chair.
