Courses in this core area deal with such issues as the study of biology as it relates to psychology, consciousness and perceptions of reality, meaning-making as a necessary human achievement, and identity formation as it is understood in the light of developmental psychology Examples of seminars in Core D: Madness and Civilization, Death and Dying, Personal Geographies, and Empathy.

Prerequisite(s): Restricted to LIBS Majors and Minors, LIBS 202 or 302 required.
