PHIL 312 - Philosophy of Love and Emotion Unit(s): 4 Students examine the nature of love and emotion through a philosophically informed interdisciplinary framework. Philosophy provides the means for integrating recent empirical theories of love from psychology, biology and neuroscience. Students read historical and contemporary philosophical writings and selections from work in evolutionary biology, the neurological structure of emotion, attachment theory, positive and developmental psychology and social psychology. Students integrate these diverse theoretical approaches using the tools of philosophy.
