UNIV 320 - Applied leadership and Community Organizing

This course explores applied leadership strategies as they relate to civic engagement and community organizing. Students will build upon a set of skills acquired through individualized community-centered learning experiences. Students will translate their own social impact ideas into action plans through a leadership lens. They will explore their own authentic leadership identity which includes identifying areas of strength as well as areas for growth. At the end of the course, students will be able to articulate their personal leadership goals and community action objectives, and will have a strategic action plan that will serve as a roadmap for implementation.
