This course looks at American politics though the lens of gender. The writings of major scholars in the field are used to investigate the explanatory power of both gender and feminism as analytic categories. Specific topics include the Constitution, elections, the media, social movements, race, sexuality, reproductive rights, economics, and comparative issues.
