PSY 410 - Child Development Unit(s): 4 This course introduces students to the social-emotional, cognitive, language, biological, and physical development of children and adolescents. Students learn major developmental theories and current research as applied to relevant issues in today’s society. The role that parents, teachers, communities, and cultures play in the healthy growth and development of children is emphasized. Breadth: Developmental. This course will fulfill the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) for any student that completes the course with a C- or better.
