ARTH 467 - Museum Collections Management Unit(s): 3 A seminar course on the principles and practices of managing and caring for today’s museum collections, including those of art, history, and anthropology. Topics include collections theory; accessioning and deaccessioning; object handling and storage; preventative conservation; and collections planning, and exhibition. Students will gain an overall understanding of the physical, ethical and legal care of museum collections. Guest speakers and off-campus field trips to tour behind the scenes collections at Bay Area museums will be planned.
