CALS 220 - Latina/o Arts and Humanities Unit(s): 3 This course considers how individuals and communities define and are defined by their cultural practices by focusing on the ways these dynamics play out in Latina/o communities. It surveys Latina/o contributions to literature, drama, theater, cinema, mass media, popular and fine art, music, and dance and considers how these contributions reflect and challenge the nature and meaning of race and ethnicity in the United States.
