GEOL 303 - Advanced Principles of Geology Unit(s): 4 Lecture: 3 hours Laboratory: 3 hours A study of the minerals, rocks, and landforms that make up our earth in the context of the dynamic forces that form them. Emphasis on local geology, including earthquakes and other environmental aspects. Laboratory subjects include the study and interpretation of minerals, rocks, and maps.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of GE Golden Four (A1, A2, A3, B4) with a C- or better and completion of B1, B2 and at least 45 units. Completion of one: SCI120, GEOL 102, GEOL 105, GEOL 110, GEOL 107, GEOL 120, GEP 201, GEP 352, ANTH 202, or equivalent of these.
