SOCI 449 - Sociology of Power Unit(s): 4 A structural analysis of the origins, development and applications of power. A comparative historical analysis of the institutions of power leading to contemporary systems of private capital, the trans-national capitalist class, and police/military states. Included also is a review of community mobilizations by people successfully challenging structures of power.
