A survey of issues concerning racial and gender inequality, with an emphasis on contemporary society and a specific social institution, such as work, education, law, and medicine. Critical race, intersectional, and feminist theories will be engaged.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of GE Golden Four (A1, A2, A3, B4) with a C- or better (A1 can be taken concurrently), completion of lower division GE D coursework and at least 45 units.
