BIOL 315 - Plants and Society

Lecture, 3 hours. Global exploration of the impact of aquatic and terrestrial plants on human culture and well-being with both historic and modern examples. Students will examine the critical importance of plants to human societies using examples related to agriculture, medicine, energy production and economically important species from a variety of habitats.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of GE Golden Four (A1, A2, A3, B4) with a C- or better and completion of B1, B2 and at least 45 units.
